About Us
What is J.O.A.D.
Junior Olympic Archery Development is a program developed by USA archery. It is designed for ages 8-20, and teaches the ins and outs of archery. It starts with the basics of range safety and how to properly shoot a bow and can progress in whatever direction the kids want to take it. Both recurve and compound bows are used in club activities and tournaments around the world. JOAD archers who shoot a compound can train to compete at local, state, national and world tournaments. A recurve shooter has all the same opportunities, but with the added opportunity to work toward a spot on the USA Olympic team. Getting involved into JOAD is easy! Just follow the instructions below.
